Balloon Care Guide

To ensure your balloons look their best for as long as possible, please read the following care information.

General Care

Our balloons are made from professional-grade materials and are designed to look beautiful for your event. As balloons are a temporary product, their lifespan can vary depending on environmental conditions.

Heat & Sun Exposure

Balloons are highly sensitive to heat and direct sunlight.

• Exposure to heat may cause balloons to expand and pop
• In warmer conditions, balloons are often slightly under inflated to allow for expansion
• Darker coloured balloons absorb more heat and have a higher chance of popping in direct sunlight
• Direct sunlight can cause colours to fade and balloons to oxidise (a matte, cloudy look)
• For best results, keep balloons in a cool, shaded area where possible

Wind & Outdoor Use

Balloons can be used outdoors, however conditions will affect their longevity.

• Wind may cause movement, friction or damage
• Sharp surfaces and rough areas can cause balloons to pop
• Outdoor setups are best kept in sheltered areas

Cold Temperatures

• Balloons may temporarily shrink in cooler temperatures
• This is normal and they will expand again in warmer conditions

Oxidisation & Finishes

Balloons may naturally oxidise when exposed to air and sunlight.

• Chrome and darker coloured balloons tend to oxidise more quickly, sometimes within hours
• Oxidisation can create a matte or cloudy appearance
• This is a natural process and does not affect the structure of the balloons

For a longer-lasting shine and enhanced finish, we recommend using our balloon shine.

Longevity

While we use high-quality, professional-grade balloons, they are designed for temporary use and their lifespan can vary depending on conditions.

• Indoor setups can last for extended periods, in some cases up to several weeks
• Balloons are typically at their best within the first 1–4 days
• Outdoor setups may have a shorter lifespan depending on weather conditions
Transport & Handling

For Grab & Go orders:

• Transport balloons in a clean, empty space (back seat or boot)
• Avoid sharp objects or overloading items around them
• Do not leave balloons in a hot car

Setup Tips

• Handle balloons gently when positioning
• Avoid dragging or pressing balloons against rough surfaces
• Place your garland in a stable, safe area

For freestanding garlands in windy areas:
• Add extra weight by tying two small water bottles to the base using a 260 balloon, then place them inside the base of the garland for added stability

For hanging garlands:
• Use multiple command hooks to distribute weight evenly
• For outdoor setups, we recommend using gaffer tape in an “H” method for additional support

Important

Once balloons have been collected or delivered, their care becomes the responsibility of the customer. We are unable to guarantee longevity due to environmental factors outside of our control.
